Looking for free hosting

Looking for a free hosting for our village website (UK). Any out there which do not clutter the page up with adverts and can take a normal domain name (not a sub DN)? Advice appreciated.

Both do free hosting for domains and/or sub-domains.

No ads, and the only restriction is a maximum file upload size of 512KB.

You can easily use a sub-domain if transferring your domain name is a bit of hassle - most domain name holders allow you to point your name to another place (the sub-domain.

I have several domains registered with Go-Daddy, which point to sub-domains on both the above. Example click here

Have you thought this through? What do you need? Domain name? email addresses for that domain name? Web space? Support? Anything else? I suspect that assuming free hosting is suitable will result in an unsatisfactory result.

Domain names can be registered for between £3-£10/year. You can get reasonable hosting with email from £10/year.
