longer range wireless

  hgrock 11:01 12 Feb 2006

hi folks i have ADSL wireless broadband but i want to increase the range so that i can use it on my laptop about 50 yards away, at the moment the signal is very weak or not at all.
I know taht i have to get a new router, but which one, netgear range max does not live up to its claims, do i need some sort of range extender or is there an easier and cheaper solution, any sugestion would be appreciated

Make sure you get one with the right connector.
SMA or TNC connector types.

get a Belkin Pre-N Mimo router, and see your network range expand considerably. The drawback is that you'll need to buy a Belkin MIMO PCMCIA adapter for the laptop if you want best performance.
