hi not very IT
try to sort daughters com.
when you try to log on any thing from the desk top its goes to a box with
then various options, why is this happening? how do I change it so it just opens on what every is chosen.
and I have down load malewarebytes it down load ok but will not run says invaid action??? how do I get to administrator access?

Try this - Run this command from the RUN box or command prompt:

regsvr32 /i shell32.dll

This should restore the normal behavior.

hi did nothing has changed
May be this will help there are three users on the computer on one is seems ok and opens the programmes with out the box saying... OPEN with.. choose the program you want to use... then recommended programs.. can I remove users ? and would this help?

Unsure of your OS, but probably the same in most as for XP.

Has the function of the mouse buttons been reversed?

Open 'Control Panel' and 'Mouse/Button' tab and see if the reversal box is checked. If it is un-check it.

Start - Run - type

sfc /scannow

press OK

Windows will replace missing or corrupt system files this may solve your problem.

hi thanks
when i try to do this the same box appears asking which program do you want to use? so which one do I choice? tried a few, funny looking script appeared on screen

Try right click "Run as Administrator" and see if this fixes the problem.

Right click on the application/program you are trying to open - ie. on your desktop.
