Hi everyone,
any of you got one of these? Logik HDD33 it is about as user unfriendly as anything can be. the instruction book is useless and looking at other sites there seems to be endless tales of woe. Tried to find their website but they do not seem to have one, any suggestions please.

Hi woodchip, thanks for the suggestion, I did try it but was unable to load it on. I did get the device to work anyway so for the benefit of any others having problems you cannot upgrade the firmware you have to re-instal the original firmware which is on the CD.
This is actually a very clever bit of kit for £20 but you get a useless instruction manual and a poor interface. Looking on Google many people have returned these and I am not surprised.
Thanks anyway for your posting.

I have tried this out for about 4 hours now and it works perfectly but Einstein would have had problems setting it up :)

Looking at Google, I would not buy one

Don`t blame you woodchip, neither would I if I had looked it up on Google first. It was just a cheap thing on Ebay.
It is one of those products that is too clever for it`s own good.
I would not recommend it to anyone on the basis that there seems to be no support and hopeless manual.
I now have it working fine in my car but don`t anyone buy one without reading the probs on Google.

A perfectly good item is crap if the purchaser cannot use it.
