Local Disk (C:) Application not found. WIndows 10

I recently got this problem where i can't open my hard drives (C: & G:). When i double click it or right click and press "Open", it tells me "Application not found". The same issue proceeds when i try to open my DVD drive as well. I have searched the web and found multiple solutions for removable drives, but not for any local SSDs & HDs. I first thought this was a virus of some sort, so i ran MalWareBytes and no issues were found. This is a very annoying thing, does anyone have a solution for me please?

Thanks in advance, Joey

you could try going to device manager and uninstalling the devices that do not work and then reboot. You have not said what operating system you are using and you might have to do a clean install to reset windows after backing up your data.

Ctrl ALt Del - Task manager - Processes - scroll down to Windows explorer - End task - File - Run new task - Type Explorer.

Will your drives open now?
