Loading addresses in Outlook Express

My father's laptop suffered a faulty hard drive so he bit the bullet and bought a brand Dell.(it was nearly 5 years old)

A local computer shop has managed to rescue many of the files from the faulty drive including the address book for Outlook Express, these are now on his new laptop as a file in My Docs but my question is how can we load these into OE on the new laptop?

Save the address book to, say, a pen drive.

Connect the pen drive to new laptop and launch OE.

In OE go to Addresses; File; Import and select 'Address Book (WAB)'.

Select the pen drive as the source from which to import.

You don't need the pen drive... if the file is in My Docs on the laptop that you want the address book to end up on.

Just do the part (as above) In OE go to Addresses... and browse to the WAB folder/file in My Docs.

Oops, yes - lotvic is correct

_clive_ I read your post wrongly. I was under the impression that your address book was still on the OLD laptop.

I see now that they're on the new laptop, so the rest of my suggestion remains as is!
