I have an Acer one A150A running on linux lite,my question is can I convert this to run on XP and if so how. thanks.

I see no reason why not;

Obviously you will need all the motherboard drivers and a new xp disc.

Download and Run PCWizard 2008 (not sure if it works on Linux).

Click on hardware and post back the details under Mainboard.

You may have a problem collecting all the drivers...depending on the chipset.

Is this one of those eepc laptops ?

If so,you may need a bigger harddrive.

Please post back as much information as possible.

Size of hdd ?
Ram installed ?

PCWizard will tell you all this (if it will run on your system)

What is it you can't do that XP enables you to do? - maybe we can save you the money.

Im unsure at the moment of how much ram can be installed on those machines.Your hdd will be fine,though i am surprised you have such a big drive...i thought more on the lines of 12GB hdd.

If you decide to go with xp,your ram really needs upgrade to 1GB.

MCE2K5 has kindly pointed you to the xp drivers and that may save you some time as most if not all are there.

I have read,if you go for xp on that prepared for a possible slow machine....only what i came across via Google.

Thanks to skidzy , DieSse and MCE2K5, for all your help. I have now spent some time using Linux and I found that I like using it, so I think I will stick with it for a while, once again Thanks.
