linux problems

i am a new user to linux when i comes to installing packages. i want a file sharing porgram for linux. i tried limewire. i need a java comiplerr for it. ppl said gtk gnutella is better i cant get it installed. any instructions for it ./configure doesnt even work. i tired xmule and got the following when ./configure was entered.
