linux on floppys

hi i have an old laptop toshiba tecra 510cdt
running windows 98 and i would like to put linux on it problem is i have plenty of distros but the laptop wont boot from cd (no bios option )so is there away of getting a linux distro on floppy
i know this laptop is old but if win 98 can run on it there must be some linux disros that whould to

Could you boot with a windows 98 floppy with CD rom support and then manually run the setup prog from the cd?

Have just come accros the same prob as you and there is a way to create a bootable linux floppy Im using mandrake and there instructions are here but it should be similar for other distros click here

skills, thanks for the link the laptop im using is quite old so it may need more ram but i have kept the in fo so i can have a play with it when ive got a bit of spare time
