Can anyone advise on using the links button in toolbar in IE.

A friend has put all his favorite links there as I would like to do as my favorites is very long.

I tried it but no reaction from button.

I did IE/tools/tick link.

Go to the website. Click on the blue e (or the site's own symbol) in the address bar. Hold down the left mouse button and drag onto the links bar.

If you right click the new button you can rename it.

1. Drag a link from a webpage to the links toolbar to add that link.

2. Drag the icon from the address bar to add the current page as a link.

If you resize the links toolbar to be as small as possible, you get a drop down list. Or you could rename the links with Shortnames to fit more on the toolbar. Just like editing toolbars on the Windows taskbar.

You can also drag items from "my favorites" to the links bar

Hi Guys

Cannot believe how easy that was and how bloody stupid I must be.

Mind you, I am always saying that advice in this pc business is no help if the recipient cannot understand it

Thanks again, great site, will pester you more.
