Limiting - Distributing Bandwidth to Applications

Windows XP SP1 - 576kbps ADSL connection.

Is there a way to control what certain applications have on the bandwith from my ADSL connection?

I'm currently connected at 576Kbps and would like to give 3 applications a controlled say on how much of the 576kbps they each have.

I'm currently downloading one huge file and and also downloading updates, whilst having a look at this forum.

Now i want something like this (if there such a thing)...

Download one can have 30% of the total available bandwidth.

Download two can have 30% of the total available bandwidth.

Download three can have the remaining 40% of the total available bandwidth.

Is there such a thing i can use?

click here is that huge file, well three actually - but one at a time ;-)

but when I downloaded Redhat, I started just before I went to bed, and found it in tact in the morning!

Three nights on the trot, and all was well!

Coincidence about downloading Rehad now. Although i am having trouble with it refusing to let me have a download. Must be some demand for it :-(

But when i like download a demo etc it would be nice to still "Surf" whilst downloading because i find the download taking all my connection up.
