Lenovo 3000 J series + XP Pro.

This machine came with XP Pro loaded and in recent months I've been having problems of stability. I decided to use Acronis to clone master to slave and then I did a reload of my genuine XP Pro SP3 disk to the Lenovo. I hasten to add that this XP Disk was not part of the Lenovo purchase but software that I bought for my other self build Asus. My Lenovo did'nt come with a Win disk.
So now I really have problems !

I switch on and all goes well until the end and then a splash screen comes up telling me to activate it. I say YES and the PC becomes dorment.

Please any ideas anyone. Many thanks.

Have you installed all the Lenovo's drivers ,motherboard etc?

Is it already activated on the ASUS?

"My Lenovo did'nt come with a Win disk."

Do a factory reset, usually Lenovo use F11 (keep tapping when switching on until menu appears)

My problems are sorted by again loading XP Pro.
My thanks to you all for giving your attentions yet again. What would us idiots do without you?

Probably fall into the hands of the 'travelling' repairers who advertise so excessively.

Kindest regards to all.
