LCD Monitor Screen.

What do I clean my LCD Monitor screen with. I have tried a damp cloth with some soap on but that makes a mess and smeers.

Can anyone tell what they use?

I use weak vinegar and water solution. Applied lightly with cotton wool and wiped with a clean piece of cotton wool.

I've had no problems using Isoprpyl Alcohol and cotton wool.

Isoprpyl Alcohol, Where do I get that from?

B&Q, Homebase?

Just clean filtered water is the best thing to use for TFT screens. Slightly damp soft cotton cloth, wipe the screen gently, then buff with soft dry cloth.

My TFT manual says not to use any cleaners, even the one supplied for spectacles. In the four months I have had mine, I have only used a soft dry cloth to gently wipe the screen to remove dust.

I needed to clean my son's Laptop to remove finger prints and found the above method, with the occasional puff of breath during the buffing stage to work fine. Regards. j.
