I turn on monitor manually and get the message "no signal"

Monitor ok

SWitch off PC
Remove and refit the graphics card, sounds as if no signal from graphics card to monitor, they sometimes work loose in the socket on the motherboard.

Sorted it, My neighbours son is profound and for his birthday his parents bought him a new P.C. the monitor would not work so I took my cable off my P.C. to check this wasn't the cause of the fault, and guess what, when I reattached it I put it on the port on the side of the P.C.and not the port on the bottom.
Silly Me but thanks for your valuable Input Fruit bat/\0/\.
lesson learned.
