Latest Windows Update (Win7) has renamed Documents folder

  Batch 09:25 11 Sep 2013

Anyone else had this?

I had previously renamed My Documents as just Documents (as I hate the My tag on everything) and had moved it to a location on another partition (using the pukka move method)

Installed latest Windows Update today. Name of folder has been reverted to My Documents. Happened on 2 PCs (one Win7x32 and one Win7x64).

Noticed as soon as I started up Xyplorer and it could not find the default path setting that I had set - D:\BatchData\Documents\

Renamed it again and all seemed to work OK. Very odd.

Has not happened on any of my 9 machines with Win XP, 7(32) or 7(64). I did have a strange one that 3 seemed to install and were listed as installed but still showed as needing to be done.

They were KB2760588, 2760583 and 2760411 all for Office 2007.

Same here! Must be a glitch.

Hi Flak999

Thanks for the confirmation. At least I know it is not me. Eventually after several retries I just marked them as hidden as they are shown as installed several times in the update history.

Yes, did the same thing myself, guess Microsoft will get around to fixing it.
