Laptops with Linux on as standard

Is it possible to buy a new laptop with Linux on it?
Or do i need to buy one with Windows on it and then dual-boot it?

I think it would be very unlikely to find a new laptop on sale with Linux as the OS.

Have a look here click here

Googling will get you the best responses to your query I think.

However, your range will be restricted compared with a Windows laptop - and you will possibly not get a choice of Linux distro is installed.

You might find it better to buy a product with Win on it - and either dual-boot, or simply wipe it clean and install Linux. Remember you've still got to choose which Linux you wish to install.

I've been trying PCLinuxOS recently, and am very impressed with the new release.

I have seen one laptop that had Linux pre-installed. However, I believe this was a second-hand system.

As Stuartli has said, you will find it hard to find a laptop with Linux preinstalled.
