Laptop Recover Partition.

Asus M6800VA; XP Pro SP3
Having just removed a virus from my laptop I am suddenly aware of the need to be prepared. My laptop has a recovery partion on it, but no original version of XP. I also have a full backup made with Acronis True Image 10.
How do I do use the restore partion? Do I have to prepare any discs beforehand to make it easier? I have an OEM Win XP Pro disk for my desktop. Could this be used on the laptop, when required, to ease restoration?

Try tapping F10 or f11 on startup to access the restore partition, sometimes you need to wait for a logo to appear first before tapping the correct key.

If you have a ATI image from before the virus, use that...certainly going to be quicker and limited data and settings loss.

You cannot use the XP pro CD its for another computer, its tide to the desktop. The Image is best way to go
