Laptop RAM - which type?

  Billy911 07:48 12 Jun 2008

How do I find out which type of RAM is installed in a laptop or are all laptops one type?

Go to Crucial and change the country to UK (Top Right Flag) if you aren`t prompted to do so. Then choose the "Scan My System" icon, downloading the ActiveX control. This will tell you what is installed and recommend upgrades. Excellent company to deal with and first class postage included.

Thanks for that.

For future note: is there a way to find out without going on the net?

most laptops have a little flap on the underside that you can remove to upgrade the RAM.
