Laptop Overclocking

Has anyone ever overclocked te cpu in there laptop. I was thinking About it as my laptops cpu is a mobile pentium 4 2.40ghz 400mhz fsb which i would like to overclock to 2.80ghz.

And comes with it the problem of overheating which in a lappy is a problem in itself, added with the fact you are going to probably see no diference at all and decreace the life of your component , i wish you good luck...

I think overclocking is just not worth it for the small performance gain you get, in a laptop, due to them running rather hot in many cases anyway I would think it would be tantamount to suicide for the laptop and theres no way you could increase the cooling.

woodchip I must admit I never thought of that.

I wish you luck johnny2344 if you do go ahead and try it but I personally think its just far too risky.
