Hello i have a Toshiba laptop and when i connect it up to my Samsung main 24 inch monitor using a HDMI connection i have no trouble with the picture but i dont seem to be able to get any sound from my laptop. The sound from the laptop is alright on its own but not when connected to a monitor. Should i still be able to get sound from my laptop when connected to another monitor? I hope ive giving enough details if you want anymore let me know thanks. Hope someone can help thanks.

P.S yes i have tried most of the required buttons on my keyboard unless theres something else i need to do?

You need to connect Laptop to Samsung Monitor via normal PC VGA cable. I know because this is how mine works.

You may need a cable, 3.5mm plug both ends, one end into the Sound out of the laptop, and the other end into the monitor sound I/P. That's assuming the monitor has sound capabilities.
