Laptop keyboard and touchpad not responding

My new HP Probook 4710s has already developed a fault.
After a few minutes the keyboard and touchpad stop working!
After a reboot, it's back to normal for another few minutes.
Does anyone know what is wrong?
Does anyone know the best way to get HP technical assistance for a laptop under warranty (their website is pretty useless)?

The retailer who sold it to you has prime responsibility for correcting any faults or refund.
