I have a MEDION laptop I am running Vista but can't get the side number pad to work Can anybody tell me which keys to press to get it to work?
Also my pages keep dissapearing to the back
Where can I get them to stay on top. Thankyou

Try the num lock key at the top of the number pad.

Ive tried that but no good

Click the start button. Type "keyboard" into the search box.

An on Screen Keyboard will appear on the screen. Look at the right-hand side where the number pad is. Right above it is a key called NLK. Click that. Num Lock should be activated.

Still can't make it work

If it's new and under warranty perhaps you could get in touch with Medion tech support.Maybe the keyboard is faulty.
Last desperate suggestion.
Does the num lock key depress all the way down?
Sometimes you can get little foreign objects that fall down beneath the keys. You could pop it off and check.

Try in the control panel>ease of access centre and click on make the keyboard easier to use.
If turn on toggle keys is ticked, then untick it.
Not sure if it will cure your problem, but worth a try.

Check the bios, you may have the configuration to enable/disable the Number Lock.

Using regedit

In your start box type REGEDIT and enter, agree to any UAC prompts.
Now navigate to

User Key:
[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Keyboard]

Data Type: REG_SZ (String Value)
Value Data: 0 = NUMLOCK is turned off after logon, 2 = NUMLOCK is turned on after logon

Change the value to 2 from 0

sussed it the Fn key maybe be in a slighty different key printed colour over to your left lower part of the keyboard. Hold Fn down and then hit the Number lock key at the same time.
