laptop graphics card replacement

My friends laptop has lots of lines across it - me thinks it is the graphics card.

How easy is it to replace a graphics card in a laptop?

providing it has a dedicated graphics card (not all do), it shouldn't be too difficult. It may require some of the casing to be removed. What make / model of laptop is it?

i'll find out... and post..

Could be a faulty screen. Replacing the graphics chip in a laptop isn't easy and probably very costly.
