laptop fan

my friend has a Sony Vaio PCG-NV290 laptop and wants to get access to the fan, presumably to clean it; she has undone various screws, but is still unable to take the cover off. Any ideas?

An easier way to clean it is with short bursts of compressed air- that generally loosens up any dust and when the fan runs it cleans it out.

Not being up on the Vaio case construction, but the only laptop I ever tried to open stayed defiantly in one piece despite my removing all the screws. There were probably a set of lugs holding it together, but finding them proved impossible and BFI was making things bend and creak alarmingly before I gave in.
Try the compressed air first, trying to open a laptop case without a full user/maintenance manual may be an exercise in futility.
