My Laptop Motherboard has failed, I need to get the data of the HDD in the Laptop. i know there is a convertor available to be able to take the HDD from the Laptop and slave it on a Desktop PC but I am unsure if I have found the correct cable adapter.

So, is this the correct cable/adapter I need to be able to fix a Laptop HDD to slave of a Desktop PC HDD ribbon cable please

The cable you provided the link to in your earlier post will do the job you want.

Depending how your desktop pc is configured, you may need to enter the PCs Bios once it's connected up to make sure the laptop hdd has been detected.
