Hi my dad needs help he has got a sony vaio fx501 notebook and he cant get into his bios to change boot sequence floopy C: cdrom, I have found other ways of getting xp on with floopys but he would like to know how to clear the password if possible. He already had itto one shop who said they put it on a machine to bypass the cmos password which sounds a load of sh** to me. anyway if their is a way i.e where to find cmos battery or any other way please let me know so I can pass it on to mydad thanks alot for any help.

P.s it is a phoenix bios I went to their site and they said their is no backdoor password(like they would say if their was)

regards Chris
