laptop into a access point

is there any way to make my laptop into an access point for my PSP or another laptop or something?

Just do a simple network with a crossover cable and run the network wizard in contol panel

a network cable to what? i have built in wifi couldnt i use that? and use my laptop as a bridge?

You can create an "Ad Hoc" wireless network in which the two "computers" connect directly with one another. Internet Connection Sharing can then be set up in a PC that is online, so as to provide internet access to the networked computer(s).

As Strawballs says - run the Network Wizard found in Control Panel aaand chose the appropriate options.

If it is wireless and will run a cd made from the main machine during the running of the wizard I don't see why not.
