Landscape and portrait

Hello there. I'm having problems creating a word document part of which is portrait and the other landscape. I tried to create the part in portrait as one file and the other in landsape as another file. I then opened the portrait file and tried to add the landsape file by going to insert/file/select landscape file........etc. The landscape file changed into a portrait file and therefore got truncated. What is the right way to go about this? I use MS Word over XP Pro. Thanks in advance.

you could highlight the portrait text then copy and past into your landscape

The easiest way is to use <Insert> <Breaks> <Section Break next page>. If your landscape page is in the middle, then you will need to do this either end. Then, merely redefine the page(s) within the section using <File> <Page Setup> <Paper Size>.
