L2 Cache

  [DELETED] 23:34 18 Nov 2003

according to this months issue of Windows XP you can help speed up your machine by the registry setting is correct and displaying the correcy. Being new to the registry i'm a bit baffled by what i've come across.

it reads REG_DWORD 0x00000000(0)

Does anyone know what it should read to use the cache correctly or is it already configured correctly.

Thanks in Advance

the value you have is correct dont mess with it.

The actual L2 cache is integrated into the processor die since the pentium 2, and isnt (and never was ) something that could be adjusted via software.

there are better things you could do to help speed things up than mess with stuff like that.
