Konica network printer

  recap 16:17 30 Jul 2003

Hi all, hope somebody can help with this one?

I am trying to connect a Konica KL-3015 laser printer to a W2K network. This printer was previously on a standalone computer in our admin office. Now that I have got the office networked I am trying to put the printer on the network.

The problem I have is that although I can assign an IP address on the printer and the W2k DHCP server, I cannot change the port setting from LPT1 on the printer.

Has anybody any ideas as to how I can change the port settings?

thanks in advance, recap.

the printer should have a network adaptor this comes with a driver which must be installed on a pc on the network this is used to set it up on the network. I know of no way of using a network printer without running the driver prog.

Thanks howard60 for that. Have looked for the adaptor software, no joy. Think I'll have to get in touch with Konica for it.

thanks again.
