Kernal32.dll and Sygate

Hi - I've just spent 2 days setting up new PC system. Just loaded Sygate which I have always used - happily/well - and I get a message about

Blocked - Win32Kernel core component. Then something about 32Kerenel.dll being the problem.

What is this, what does it mean and need I worry? Cheers Paul

Hi - Application Win32Kernel core component blocked. File is 32Kernel.dll.

The message stays up on a small light blue window for about 5-10 seconds and then disappears. It appears to be something trying to get into my PC rather than anything inside it.

It doesnt say anything on the actual message which pops up. In the Running Applications part of the main Sygate window it says that there are both there is Incoming and Outgoing Activity. It has blocked all outgoing but has allowed 184 out of 9784 incoming.

Jester2K II - Its up to 92496 incoming with 5100 blocked. I assume that these refer to bytes of data/info. Its on the main screen of the firewall.

canard - what is Gator? Dont have teenagers - not yet anyway.

Jester2K II

The file name is definitely 32Kernel.dll.

Thanks for trying to sort this out. I have to go now as I'm heading to the west coast (Ireland) for the weekend. I'll take this up again when I get back.

Thanks canard too.
