Javascript problems

  Shanks69 16:30 02 Mar 2003

i.e when I click a link nothing happens. The links I have problems with are "shortcut to javascript" types ( or so it says when I run the cursor over them ).

Running ME with Interner Exp 6 and Outpost firewall. I dont believe I have javascript disabled in either the security options or in the firewall.

Any thoughts ?/

In Internet Explorer click on Tool go down to Internet options then click on the Advanced tab. Scroll down to where it says Microsoft VM and make sure there's a tick in the following option:

JIT compiler for virtual machine enables (requires restart)

Post again if this is not the issue.

Does this happen on all Java links or just on certain sites ?

  Shanks69 20:20 02 Mar 2003

I think it's just on certain sites, but I've noticed it on a few.

Sorry for the time delay.

List one of the sites and the position of the link, so that I can go take a look at where the problem is occurring, please.

Hi Shanks69, I had the same problem accessing certain links on sites(eclipse-computers being the main one)I resolved this by unabling the java sun script in the internet options, advanced tab. And then enable ms virtual machine like Taran suggested.

On NTL page link click here

Trying to access the BBC broadband channels.

Kg - cant find anything to enable or disable java sun script in IE6.

Again, sorry for the time delay, back at the pc now.
