JAVA® Security threat

  puddylump 13:39 03 May 2009

I used a program called Secunia to check if my PC had any security threats, or if any programs needed to be patched up.
After I had fixed all the things that needed to be fixed, there was one thing left.
It said that Sun Java JRE 1.6.x/6.x was insecure and needed uninstalling. I checked if I had the latest version and I have. I even checked if it was working properly on my PC and it was.

How can I get rid of this problem?

This is discussed (and fixed) in the secunia forum

Thanks lotvic for the link you posted. This is what I did:
I uninstalled all instances of Java® on my PC, rescanned it on Secunia, and it was all fixed. But if a program needs Java®, it will provide a link to the most recent version available for download.

Thanks again.
