Is it really worth having DV/In on Camcorder ? .

For around £420 you could get the excellently featured Sony TRV240E. This is a Digital8 camera so it is not as small as those which use DV tapes. It will read analogue 8mm and Hi8 tapes, it has DV in/out, analogue connections, 25x optical zoom and.......

General opinion is that the larger camera is less susceptable to camera shake.

Well worth considering.

As a matter of interest, I would not be too fussy about X20 Zoom. I find that I rarely use mine, with X20, at more than X8. You will need it on a firm tripod to go much higher than that.

If you go for one that has not got DV-in, you may be able to buy a widget that will overcome this.

Many models of camera, (but not all), can be DV-in enabled.
