Issue with Netcomm modem router

  [DELETED] 07:04 01 Mar 2006

I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me here. I was trying to know why Netcomm NB1300+4 modem router goes down occasionally. By going down i mean No Internet Connection at all. Is it very common case for a modem router to go down?

I'd like to know what could possibly be the common cause for that to happen? and what should i do to make sure it would not happen again in the future? because i have a mailserver attached to it and when it goes down, no emails can be received. So it's quite crucial to avoid this.

Thank you in advance and look forward to hearing from you.

Wiring or microfilters ??

All telecoms devices must be microfiltered or they will interfere with the broadband signal. ALL phones, faxes, answer machines, sky box, house alarm etc. Poor quality microfilters, poor telephone extension cabling or DIY connections, loose plugs or sockets can all cause signal problems.

You might find these (long) posts relevant about testing whether it is being caused by bad telephone wiring inside the house. click here click here
