My wife my son & my daughter all have ipod nano`s.We have one laptop and all three want to use the nano`s on the laptop using thier own music libraries. Is this possible and if so how can I set it up.

First you need to create folders in itunes containing the three seperate libraries, in itunes click file>new folder and then drag you music into it. Then plug in your first ipod. select the ipod from the bar at the left, and then click on the tab that says music, then click sync music but slect "selected songs and playlists" and then select the relevant folder.
