IP address hijacked!

  stoner 11:09 11 Dec 2003

Hi Guys,
someone appears to have hijacked my IP address. I can still cruise the internet but my IP address has changed.
No other symptoms, yet!
How do I change it back?
Any advice?

what type of internet connection do you have

I think you'll find that if you are "cruising" through an ISP your IP Address will change everynow and then. Even on BroadBand...

Broadband cable on wireless LAN,
My daughter was playing internet chequers with an anonymous player and I think something/one might have crept in.
My IP addresses don't usually change on the network.

Which IP address has changed? The IP address assigned by your ISP for the internet or one on your own network?

If the ISP one they ALL change now and then.

Panic over!
My network is back up and connected.
To answer Jester2K II's question it appeared that the IP address assigned by my ISP had changed. All the network IPs remained the same.
Strange ..............
By the way the Internet IP is back to what it used to be ..........
