IP address

Right. Norton pops up warning that I'M UNDER ATTACK!!! "Active pearl" or something similar (nothing to do with knitting). So i ran a trace on the ip address, only to be told "it is a device on my network". Ok, i aint got no network.

So could anyone explain (in laymans terms) i would be gratful.

Yeah i did a search on google and found a number of sites with references to this. But I'm intrigued as to why Norton would alert me to an attack from this IP if its known to be the host PC or one's self or what ever.
