Iomega Zip Drive and Windows XP Pro

  simonjw 10:58 26 Jan 2003

I have recently upgraded my pc which now runs windows xp pro. Windows "found" all my additional hardware, printer, zip drive etc and I download the latest drivers from the net. However, no software tools for the zip drive are located in the short menu after I right click the zip drive. I have numourous zip disks that are read/write protected which I need to access. The version of Iomegaware that I downloaded was 32-x86-404. Can anyone please help me on this issue?

you did not say whether it was usb or internal

i think the problem here is that you had them read/write protected

i had this problem

i had to go back into windows98se, take out the protection and then they will work

what was your previous OS?

I thought this looked familiar click here

You could have carried on with the same thread.

Anyway, did you try the suggestions? With my USB Zip drive, I can get all the facilities necessary on a right click. Is your drive very old?
