Invalid Boot Disk

When starting my XP Windows (Home) I am getting a inavalid boot disk, insret sytem disk, message. I do not have a floppy disk. Can I cure this? Thanks

Have you left a DVD/CD in the drive? If so remove it and then try.

If this is not so then you could check to see if your HDD has failed or is not connected properly.

Can also happen if your system is able to boot from USB and you leave a flash/thumb/pen-drive plugged in.

Go onto BIOS, usually you press Delete but I have seen others mantioned, check your hard drive is connected and detected in the BIOS and go to boot order check that your hard drive is set as the first boot device.
If the hard drive isn't seen in BIOS then either it has failed or the IDE cable is loose or damaged or the same goes for the power connector.
