Internet Explorer problem

  Daisy22 18:26 30 Mar 2005

for a few days now when I have been using IE, after a while I get an error message which tells me that it has experienced a problem and needs to close. It closes but I don't lose my internet connection, nor does the computer shut down.

What is this problem please and can I resolve it?

When I checked the link, I saw the message -

"Before proceeding, ensure that your Microsoft Windows XP CD-ROM is available."

I haven't got the CD as windows XP was already installed when I purchased the computer.

Another problem seems to be that whenever I try to find certain sites, I usually get the message "cannot find server"

Any other suggestions please?

If your XP is installed on the hard drive then the repair will use these files and not the CD.

Try it and see, Tpye sfc /scannow (note the space after sfc) in the run box and press enter, sit back and relax it will take awhile.
