Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Hi there!

Over the past few days, I've noticed that I'm able to access fewer and fewer sites from on my PC (and also my laptop which is wirelessly connected to the same modem).

I get the 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage' message when I try to access these sites.

I've checked my WAN settings, my firewall settings and also my internet security options. Tried contacting my ISP but they just fobbed me off saying that it's a problem with my firewall settings which I don't think is the case.

Any help would be appreciated. I am a total novice so please give me any advice you may have in laymans terms!

Thanks in advance.

hi poodle1977....
take it that you have a modem router...
at about 9 oclock in the evening (busiest time on the internet)unplug the power to the router ,then plug back in, wait for all lights to go normal(green)then continue to browse the net .
this should reset the l/n ratio and allow you to browse better ...Dave

Try disabling your add ons.If it works Ok then enable them one at a time till you find the culprit. What Firewall do you use.
