Internet Explorer 6

  recap 18:58 24 Mar 2008

Over the past week I have been having problems launching IE6. Whether I click on the quick link bar or from the file menu IE6 can take up to 2 minutes to launch. I have found that once I open a page it is quicker to go to File/New Window rather than go to the quick launch bar.

When shutting down the laptop (Dell Latitude D505 running Windows Xp Pro) there can be up to 8 IE I have to end task before the system will shut down. I have checked Task Manager to see how many are running but it only shows the ones I have open.

I have ran a full scan with Kaspersky, Spybot S&D, RegScrubXP and Event Viewer which all found nothing of any significance. I have also check that the Target for the program is correct.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
