help pleases this is driving me crazy when i open my homepage to browse the internet i get a this popping up ! internet explorer cannot display this web page! then i have to click on the red x and evrythings alright this happens every few minutes, i have installed firefox but how do i uninstall internet explorer?

You don't need to uninstall I.E. to use firefox if you don't want to.

you may not have to bother with sfc /scannow ?

IE 6 or 7 ?

Also check via your tools menu.

Click on Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/scroll down to multimedia and place a tick in show pictures and ok.
Now close IE and you still get the same problem ?

If IE6 try a repair click here this does not repair IE7.

Just to elimate a Firewall or AV issue,can you disable them one at a time and again try to access the page in question.

sorry as i said in my first post i CAN get the web page all i want to do is stop the full screen pop up saying that internet exporer cannot open the web page after it has opened it i keep having to click to close it so i can see the web page that ie cannot open. i know it sounds crazy but thats how it is
