Internet connection problem

  DMAN 18:37 08 Mar 2005

My friend has just given me a laptop to see if I can sort out her internet connection. Before I begin I'm just wondering if it is possible to connect to the internet through my line if I disconnect everything. She has been using a pay and go service where I have broadband.

Anyway, the problem she has is basically not being able to connect to the internet. She has tried different service providers but they just don't connect. Ive tried changing the default connection but no avail. Don't know what else to try. |Any suggestions?

It can work if the internet settings are scrambled, spyware removed or not.

Ok tried that but it didn't work....

When it tries to connect it has the message res:shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm in the address bar.

Don't know what it means any ideas?
