I recently purchased a new IBM Lenovo Ideapad Z580 at about the same time that I upgraded to BT Infinity broadband. From the beginning the laptop had this annoying problem where the internet connection would inexplicably drop on either wifi or ethernet cable. This can last anything from a few seconds to several minutes. It is usually resolved easily either by the built-in Win8 troubleshooter or by simply unplugging and re-plugging in the cable. During the times when the internet is not available on the laptop I have tested the connection using iPhone and iPad wifi and it works fine, so I'm guessing this is a laptop not an internet issue. Having said that I can't ever remember experiencing the problem when working remotely on another wifi network.
Although the issue can be resolved it is extremely annoying, so if anyone could offer any advice on how this may be resolved, I'd be extremely grateful!
