Internet access required in Pentraeth, Anglesey

  camile 22:32 18 Aug 2013

I regularly stay at a family member's caravan at a site in Pentraeth, Anglesey. There is no wi-fi or 3G available there (and no 3G in the surrounding areas).

I'm self employed and need to sometimes check emails, etc. when I'm there. I don't want to get a phone line installed in the caravan as this wouldn't be cost-effective over the year for the small amount of time I spend there.

I've looked into mobile internet access through a 'dongle' (sorry if this isn't the correct term) but the main providers say I would still not get internet access in that area.

Do I have any other options available to me?

Many thanks.

Find a pub or local swimming pool or other outlets that advertise free wi-fi but be careful how you use it. If you are with BT there should be free internet access via Fone. If you are a Vodaphone customer then ask them for BT wi-fi connection.

Thank you. I'm not with BT or Vodaphone, so I'll check out the local pubs I think :)

Thanks woodchip. I don't think there is one close to there unfortunately though.

Orange and EE also enable BT wifi.

The pub and cafe at Red whafe Bay definitely has free wifi, used it in the cafe last month

I'll revisit Orange & EE - thanks for that. The cafe is close by so that's great to know - thanks :)
