Speed up Browsing in Internet Explorer - Start/Run/Regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RemoteComputer\NameSpace
In the right pane find: {D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF} Value and delete it.

but always remember to back up your registry first.

1. Is your registry speed up good for w98SE?

2. Can you say what difference you noted in the download speed? I get typically 4 to 4.5 KBytes/sec. Thanks David

You could also go to:

and then click on the Speed button in the lefthand menu.

There's plenty of sound advice and information to hand.
