Int. Explorer starts with an advertising banner!

Whenever I start Internet Explorer (XP Pro SP2) a horizontal frame resembling a toolbar appears at the bottom and has various buttons like “make money” “music” “casino” “investing” “travel” “mortgage” etc. The frame disappears if I click on its upper right hand corner which is marked with a red x. What do I do to get rid of this irritating frame from appearing at all?

Thanks but is there no way of getting rid of an unwanted program without installing yet another program? Surely there must be an easier way?

Well you could post a HijackThis log - which would of course require installing the program click here
