installing windows onto a CD using CDwriter

hi all,is it possible to install windows onto a CD so that they are interchangeable?.of course ill have to use fdisk,if so how?.thanks.ben

Think Problem will be that Windows makes temp files while installing and deletes them and constanlty changes bits and bobs during the install - with the Cd - not being able to act like a hard drive - may not be possible - but someone may have a solution ;)

No you cannot do it. As Windows as to constantly write to the disc.

LArge USB Memory stick - or Zip /jazz drive - though wether the files would fit on later??
I have installed pagemaker onto a Zip disk and been able to run it between computer - ;)

aside you'll need a large scannet to get 5 cat on ;)

It's not just putting the OS on the Media it also as tp be bootable

of course it does,thats why you have to set it to first boot device?.

Are you refering to putting windows onto a cd in much the same way as say for example "suse 9.0 bootable live cd"

If so it looks possible but extremely difficult
